Where We're Starting:

Proteomic Atlas of Healthy Human Tissues

• ~6,000 healthy human tissue samples (larger than Human Protein Atlas)
  • 100 whole body donors, with samples of every healthy critical tissue from each
  • Sample types matched from GTEx, plus additional tissue types
• Sample Quality (healthier than GTEx and Human Protein Atlas)
  • Stricter inclusion criteria than GTEx: younger donors, traumatic deaths only, BMI < 30, no oncological history
• Data Types (better visibility than GTEx and Human Protein Atlas)
  • Mass spec proteomics with individual proteoform coverage
  • Matched genomics, transcriptomics, and H&E staining for each sample

If you use GTEx or Human Protein Atlas or ProteomicsDB today, for your "normal" tissue reference values - we'll do you one better. Don't change your analysis pipeline - just swap in better data, and get more and better hits.
